Chambers Director
Steve oversees all aspects of chambers’ operations and works closely with the members and the senior clerk to ensure strategic objectives are met and that professional standards are maintained across all areas.
He also has a strong client-facing role, maintaining and developing relationships with those instructing members of chambers, whether instructing solicitors, accountants and our wider client base. He ensures that service delivery remains consistently high, and that the needs of clients are met efficiently and professionally.
In addition to his operational responsibilities, Steve contributes to the long-term development of chambers, supporting members’ practices and helping to guide chambers’ response to changes in the legal market.
He works in close partnership with the Senior Clerk, Adam, to ensure that chambers continue to provide a responsive and reliable service to clients.
Adam Bell
Senior Clerk
Adam Bell is the Senior Clerk at Burnell Chambers, with over 20 years of experience as a barristers’ clerk at leading sets of chambers. During his career, Adam has built a wealth of knowledge across the legal and accounting professions, including expertise in the specialist practice areas in which our barristers work.
Adam is responsible for the overall management and strategic development of all barristers’ practices, business development and client relationship management, the allocation of work, fee negotiation, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to clients and barristers.
Adam is highly regarded for his first-class service. His business acumen, commitment, and professionalism are instrumental in the long-term direction and success of chambers.
